Basically, we recommend the end-user to set USR modem to Class 1.
Please try to set the following setup-string in the Port Configuration document for US Robotics Class 1.

Setup String 1:	AT&F&H2&I2S36=0
Setup String 2:	ATM0E0S0=0V1Q0&C1&D2

If it does not work, please consult USR modem support for the up-to-date setup strings.
