Installing Eicon Diva Server SoftIP - SIP Environment
This section describes the steps required to install Eicon Diva Server SoftIP - SIP Environment for use with the ExtraFax server. Some hints for troubleshooting are also included in this document.
Installation
Diva Server SoftIP is a software module for fax processing. You will have to install it onto the computer where the ExtraFax server is installed. The software is most likely bundled with the package you received when you purchased it from your local retailer. Alternatively, you may download the appropriate version from the Dialogic website and install it. License Activation
You need to activate the SoftIP software module before using it. Please follow the instructions in the Diva Server SoftIP Reference Guide to activate it.
SoftIP Configuration
Configure the SoftIP software module using the Diva Server SoftIP Configuration program. Please refer to the Diva Server SoftIP Reference Guide for details.
Troubleshooting
- Fax channel does not start up properly...
- Check whether there are any ExtraFax error messages showing on the Domino / ExtraFax consoles.
- Open the Diva Server SoftIP Configuration (Start

SoftIP Configuration) and check whether it can auto-detect your Eicon Diva Server SoftIP module. Also make sure the configuration settings are properly set.
- Fax channel has started up properly, but fails to send or receive faxes...
- Check whether there are any ExtraFax error messages showing on the Domino / ExtraFax consoles.
- Enable ExtraFax Detail Trace Log feature. For details, please refer to the "Enable ExtraFax Detail Trace Log" section in this Installation Guide.
- Try searching for a solution in the ExtraFax FAQ section and Support Forum.
