NOTES.INI File Monitor Logs

The NOTES.INI log provides detailed audit information about the modification of the NOTES.INI file by any person. Information includes last modified time, check sum value, and most importantly, the updated content of the NOTES.INI file will be recorded. A copy of the entire notes.ini file is also captured and is accessible via the log.

To view log information for the NOTES.INI File Monitor:

1. Open the SecurTrac Log Database (SCTLOG.NSF or user defined log database)
2. In the left pane, select .
3. In the right pane, a list of logs will be shown and sorted by date and time.
4. Double click the most recent log to see the latest settings of the Notes.ini file.

Section	Field	Description
Action Detail	Log Time	The date and time of the modification to the Notes.ini file.
	File Hex Value	The message digest of the Notes.ini file and its timestamp.
	Triggered by Monitor	The monitor(s) which triggered the log. It will show the description of the monitor, if the monitor description exists. Otherwise, it shows the document ID for the monitor document. A link allows you to open the Monitor document that triggered the log.
Notes.ini Log Details		If the Notes.ini has been saved but the contents in the file has not been changed, it will show "The information in the Notes.ini file is not changed. All parameter names and values would remain the same. If the Notes.ini contents have been changed, the details will be shown in a table. The table includes Action, Parameter Name, Parameter Value and Original Parameter Value. There will be three possible actions:Modified, Added and Deleted.
	Modified	If an existing entry has been changed in the notes.ini, then the parameter name, new value and the original value will be shown in this field.
	Added	If a new entry has been added to the notes.ini, then the parameter name and value of the added entry will be shown in this field.
	Deleted	If an entry has been deleted from the notes.ini, then the parameter name and value of the deleted entry will be shown in this field.
Attachment		The complete Notes.ini file will be attached.(After modification)
