SecurTrac Setup Verification

To verify that SecurTracTM has been set up properly, you can perform the following test.
  1. On the Domino server that is running SecurTracTM, open the SecurTracTM Configuration Database (SCTCFG.NSF).

  2. In the left pane, select .
  3. Click the button at the top in order to create a new NOTES.INI Monitor.
  4. On the 'Basics' tab, in the 'Server to monitor' section, select 'All in the domain'.
  5. On the 'Basics' tab, in the ''Log Database' section, select 'Log to default log database' and 'log action on the server where the event occurred'.
  6. On the 'Monitor' tab, specify your e-mail address if you want to receive e-mail notifications for any Notes.ini file changes.
  7. On the "Administration" tab, specify the owner and administrator(s) of the monitor. By default, it is your current user name.
  8. Click to save the configuration so that the notes.ini will now be monitored.
  9. Open the Notes.ini file and append the following entry:
    ABC=1
  10. Save the updated Notes.ini file settings.
  11. Open the SecurTracTM Log Database (SCTLOG.NSF).
  12. In the left pane, select .
  13. In the right pane, a new log for the NOTES.INI File Monitor should be recorded.
  14. Double click the log record and the log details will be displayed.
  15. This will confirm that SecurTracTM is monitoring as expected.
  16. Remove the ABC=1 parameter from the Domino server's notes.ini
