How to send Personalized SMS-Text Messages? Personalized SMS-Text Messages are useful when you want to compose one message and then send it to large number of recipients with unique information that pertains to each recipient. ExtraTxt's intuitive user interface makes sending personalized text messages to a large number of recipients a breeze. Before you compose the personalized text messages, you need to prepare a CSV file, whose data will be merged with the text message content. The CSV file may be exported from applications like CRM, or from your spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel. As an example, the following shows a CSV file that contains overdue payment records on October 2009 and you are planning to notify the customers by text messages. From the above CSV file, "cust_name" is the customer name and "mobile" is the customer mobile number. Here are the steps to generate personalized SMS-text messages: 1. Upload the CSV file in ExtraTxt. 2. Specify which fields are the recipient name and recipient mobile number. As you are going to notify the customers about the overdue payment, customer name is the recipient name and customer mobile phone number is the recipient mobile number. 3. Search and select the overdue payment message template from the library. Here you can see that it is very easy to find the overdue template by the word "overdue". 4. After you have selected the template, the template content will be put into the content that you are composing. 5. Click "Preview" button to verify the text messages for each overdue customer. From the preview, You can see data in the CSV file is merged with the template. 6. If all are ok, click "Send" button to start sending the text messages.
