ExtraTxt is a new-generation reliable, robust, enterprise class SMS - Text Messaging Web 2.0 software appliance developed by Extracomm to meet the modern day business needs for companies of any size.

ExtraTxt empowers global reach to prospects and customers alike at a fraction of the effort and cost compared to voice communications. It allows you to substantially extend your sales, marketing, transaction processing, operations and logistics communications as well as system monitoring alert capabilities reaching out to a global audience, directly through your mobile carrier, SMS Centers (SMSC), or through Skype.

(Note: ExtraTxt is a self-contained software appliance which can run, but does not need to run with Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange, etc.)

  • Supports SMPP
    Ideal for instances where high volumes of SMS-Text Messages must be sent and delivered quickly.
    TCP/IP based and no GSM modem hardware is required.
    It is possible to assign an alphanumeric sender ID to each SMS-Text Message.
  • Supports GSM 7-bit and UCS2 Unicode encoding
    You can compose your SMS-Text Messages in many different languages.
  • Supports Long SMS-Text Messages
    You can send and receive text messages that exceed the maximum character length limit of a single SMS-Text Message (160 characters).
  • Scheduled SMS-Text Messages
    You can compose your SMS and schedule it to be sent at later time. This is ideal for situations where text messages should be sent at a specific date/time.
  • Sender ID Branding
    Outgoing text messages can be branded with a Sender ID of your choice (normally your company name or product name).
  • Do Not Call List
    In some countries, businesses are not legally permitted to send promotional SMS to phone numbers that have been registered on the "Do Not Call List" without prior consent of those recipients.
    Blacklist checking: prevent ExtraTxt from sending SMS to these phone numbers.
    Whitelist checking: override the blacklist in case the consumers occur in the Do Not Call List but they expressed consent for sending SMS to them.
  • Intra-network SMS
    In some countries, carriers charge less money for intra-network SMS than for inter-network SMS.
    By providing mobile number and its carrier information, messages will be routed to a port so that intra-network SMS can be achieved.
  • Subscription Lists
    Allows your customers to join your mobile marketing list by texting a keyword (e.g. name of your restaurant) to a short code.
    For example, a Pizza shop or salon can start a Mobile VIP club and invite its customers to opt-in to receive special discounts.
  • Web Widget for Subscription List
    Alternate means of entry of subscription list.
    Letting you potentially reach more people than you would through SMS alone.
    After you have embedded the web widget on your web site, people can sign up your subscription list from the web.
    Verification code will be sent to subscriber to confirm the inputted mobile number.
  • SMS Sweepstakes
    A promotional marketing campaign that gives your customers the chance to win a prize.
    This can engage your customers, increase your brand awareness and improve your customer loyalty.
  • Text Responses
    Allows your customers to request information on demand by texting a keyword to a short code.

    Support Apple Passbook coupons, web coupons and text coupons.
    Support static and unique coupon codes.
    You can proactively deliver your coupons to your subscription lists.
    Coupons can be sent to people when they opt-in or text for a coupon.
    Instead of creating the Apple Passbook coupon from scratch, you can import a Passbook coupon and then customize the coupon.
  • Outlook Mobile Service (OMS)

  • Support LDAP Authentication
    For LDAP users, ExtraTxt will pass the login request to the LDAP server (e.g. Active Directory Server) for authentication.
  • Multi-Tenant
    ExtraTxt allows a single instance of ExtraTxt running on a server, serving multiple client organizations (tenants).
    The ExtraTxt instance is logically partitioned so that it appears to each organization that they are accessing a completely separate instance of ExtraTxt.
  • SMS Credits
    Each account has its own credit balance, allowing the user to send text messages when the account has sufficient credits.
    Message rates for different countries can be set up.
    Low credit balance alert can be configured so that email alert will be sent to account administrators when the credit falls below a threshold.
  • Template Libraries
    You can now store reusable SMS-Text Message content in public/personal template libraries of ExtraTxt. The libraries allow users to categorize templates into different folders. This makes repetitive communications quick and accurate.
  • Address Books
    ExtraTxt provides public/personal/shared address books for users to organize their contacts and distribution lists.
  • Routing/Forwarding Incoming SMS-Text Messages
    Incoming SMS can be automatically routed to individual users by Email or SMS.
  • Forward Incoming Email to SMS-Text Messages
    By forwarding their incoming e-mails to ExtraTxt, users can receive SMS-Text Messaging noti-fications relating to the new e-mails they may have received.
